Expertise

Camilla has worked with financial regulation and securities law for more than two decades. She combines her practical experience from the industry, the Danish regulator and EU regulatory work to find the best solutions for her clients.

Camilla has worked with matters pertaining to a broad range of financial institutions, including banks, investment firms, mortgage credit institutions, management companies, alternative investment fund managers, insurance companies and investment advisers. Camilla has furthermore worked with various aspects of securities laws, including the obligations of issuers and the prevention of market abuse.

Experience

Camilla’s all-round experience with financial regulation and securities law is derived from both legal practice as an attorney, the financial sector, and the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finanstilsynet).

Before joining Capital Law CPH, Camilla worked at the major Danish law firm Kromann Reumert.

Previously, Camilla has worked as Head of Legal for a major Danish asset management group with a presence in the Nordics, Luxembourg, the U.S. and Dubai.

Additionally, Camilla has furthermore worked both in various departments of the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority where she was a Director of the Securities Markets Division.

Due to her long standing participation in regulatory work at EU level and in Denmark, Camilla has gained an in-depth understanding of the functioning of both the EU and Danish regulation of the financial sector and the financial markets and its impact on the businesses.

Camilla has advised the Danish Association of Investment Firms in matters related to financial regulation and is a member of the Legal Expert Panel set up by the Board of Directors of the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority.

Education/ publications

 

Camilla holds a Master of Law (cand. jur.) from the University of Copenhagen (1996) and has studied at the University of Oslo, Norway, in 1995 and at Université du Havre, France, in 1993-1994. Camilla furthermore holds a Graduate Diploma in International Business from Copenhagen Business School (2000).

 

Camilla is the co-author of an annotated Danish Act on Investment Firms and Investment Services and Activities as well as peer-reviewed articles published in Finans/Invest..
